Hey all. To get discussion going (hey, you can't work ALL the time), I thought I'd open a general thread. Say what you want, and take it wherever you like. Free for all.

As per request, here is another poetry thread to wind down the quarter with. Enjoy, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Here are some poems for Veteran's Day. Feel free to post others you know and would like to share. Or comment on these, if you prefer.
(And apologies for the lousy lineation -- our narrow blog box isn't friendly to longer lines.)
Hey all English Club members!! You'll have seen the posters Trish has put up around campus, and she'll be sending out an email announcement, but make sure you come along to the first ever English Club Forum. The topic is Free Speech and the University, and the particular focus is on issues connected to religion and belief. It's from 12-1 (Common Hour), this Thursday, in Bromfield 117, the room next to the library. There'll be a panel discussion among a group of faculty and students to kick off the forum, but participation from the audience will be welcome and expected. It's a hot topic, and it should be fun and interesting, so come along!! The more different viewpoints the better, so don't be shy about chiming in.
See you then (I'll be in the audience like you).
