| My Solution |
My solution to what the media are obviously lacking is to promote fitness as the new thin. Women should be encouraged to feel better about their bodies not worse. Why should they look in the mirror, pick at their body image, and point out every little flaw that they think they have? The answer is…they shouldn’t. Women should be encouraged to feel better, improve their daily lives, and set goals based on what is right for them and their body type. Being fit and happy is better than being so thin that you can barely stay alive. Women sports models should be the hype, not excessively thin models or celebrities. What kind of an idol is that exactly? Sports models and healthy women are a far better role model. They are women who are happy, fit, and enjoy their life and who they really are…not what media is saying they ‘should’ be. |
