Chemicals In Cigarette Smoke

Pretty much everyone is familiar with smoking. It's practically impossible to avoid. There are commercials for and against smoking on television, the people you live with and hang out with might do it. Everyone knows what it is, and also that lung cancer is linked to smoking. What you may not be aware of is how terrible second hand smoke is for your health. I know that after doing more research on the subject, second hand smoke is much more hamrful than I had originally thought. I think some people don't think about how bad second hand smoke is because they figure that they're not the ones lighting up the cigarette and puffing it themselves. But in fact, the same chemicals that smokers are breathing in through the cigarette, are also being exhaled. So people who aren't smoking themselves are breathing that in, and might as well be smoking, because they're being affected just as much as the smoker himself.

I want to show non-smokers how harmful second hand smoke is to them, and that when they're sitting in the non-smoking section at the restaurant, it's really not doing any good when there are people smoking 20 feet away.
