As I have researched all the stories and facts on steroids, I have that are so many side effects that I can not begin to understand how someone could just disregard all these negatives. Dr . Wadler states that , “Unlike almost all other drugs , all steroid based hormones have one unique characteristic, their dangers may not be manifest for months, years, and even decades. Therefore, long after you gave them up you may develop side effects”. So even though these people who claim that they have used steroids and never seen the side effects, may still have the effects building up inside of them. There are several short term effects that a male who uses steroids may have effect him. Some of things that I am about to state seem to totally defeat the purpose of using steroids. A male may have a reduced sperm count which alone really will effect a male mentally. A male wanting to become more masculine seems to be defeating the purpose with that side effect alone. They may also suffer from impotence which is a huge effect to a male. Along with these two side effects they may also suffer from the development of breast. This side effect will be very apparent to every one that looks at you. This is a side effect that will not be easily hidden from the world and everyone would know that you were using steroids. Another major side effect of using steroids is the shrinking of the testicles. Again, this side effect will really effect a male in more ways than just a physical sense. Another side effect is difficulty or actual pain with urinating. Other than the breast side effect, these are all personal effects that a male will have to go through if he decides to use steroids to enhance his looks and abilities.
