This page really isn't about any event that has happened, is happening, or of my personal views against the issue. The following information is about how the current trend of intolerance can be stopped. I will try to give some insight as to how I think It may be done, but ultimately I hope that the ideas below will enter your mind and give you a better perspective as to what you can do to stop needless persecution.

Hint #1 Educate yourself.
This one may seem pretty obvious, but education can be either your greatest defense or your greatest weapon. By learning about secular groups and religions, you can understand why you hold a grudge or have an opinion about a group. A good portion of the time, hate is driven by a lack of knowhow and the only way to fix that is to learn about what you are against. Even if the learned information doesn't change your opinion or (hopefully not) causes you to be more intolerant towards the religion than before, at least you will know what you're fighting about. Personally (while I don't hold much respect for bigotry), I would be more likely to listen to an educated bigot than an uneducated one.

Hint #2 Realize that diversity won't kill you.
A common misbelief among people is that religious tolerance is essentially believing all religions to be true; something that is near impossible for the average believer of any religion. Tolerance simply means tolerating them; not attacking those who have different beliefs than you. If it was assimilation this may be a different story, but the main goal of being tolerant is for everyone to live in relative peace and harmony religiously.

Hint #3 Treat others as you would want to be treated.
It's an easy idea to grasp and one that is upheld by nearly all of the earth's major religions. Would you want someone walking up to you and slamming you just for your thoughts? Do your thoughts hurt this particular person? Probably not, so why do the same thing to someone else? If more people lived by the rules of a 'live and let live' type of life, I personally believe the world would be a bit less hectic.
