Michelle was at the age of 12 when she began feeling as though her life was horrible. She was experiencing different emotions and she wasn't sure how to deal with them. She would be upset for long periods of time or she would be very irritable. She discussed these feeling with her family and both of her parents told her that the way she was feeling was nothing more than just moodswings with puberty. Michelle didn't feel like that was all it could be. She decided to talk to her school counselor and he recommended her to go see a psychiatrist and soon after she was diagnosed with depression. She needed a way to talk about how she was feeling and she found her cure through communication. |

Daniel was a boy who was popular and all the girl liked him. He was an all around good guy, but he struggled academically. Grades didn't come easy for him and one day he came home with a "D" on his report card and his parents knew they had to do something. The only thing they could think of was to get Daniel to buckle down and do nothing but school work. He was no longer able to hang out with friends after school and he could only watch very little television. This made Daniel very depressed and he began to shut himself out of everyone's lives. His parents began to get worried so they took him to the doctor. He was told that he was depressed and the doctor put him on Adderall. He took the medication and after a year of no improvement, Daniel could no longer handle the pressure and how he was feeling so he took his life. |
