disOrder

the site

disOrder is a knowledge web, a place for exploring the relationships of mapping, linking, gendering, and space. It was begun in Jim Fredal's English 879 seminar, Rhetoric of Space, Winter 2002.

I'm Susan Delagrange, a 4th-year PhD student in Rhetoric and Composition at The Ohio State University.

discussion here of

  • visual, textual cues
  • index page
  • space metaphor
  • textual reiteration
  • note on difficulty
  • attempt at site map like Chasing our Tails
Using this alphabetical list of pages, the reader may ensure s/he has seen everything. On the other, more interesting hand, it opens up several alternate ways to navigate the web: by column, by row, by name length (either letters or syllables), by rhyme.
