A major in English can be completed entirely on the Mansfield campus. Current and prospective students can find information here about the department, about a major or minor in English, and about advising. Information is also available on the new pre-education requirements for students interested in teaching English in grades 7 through 12.

English majors must fulfill the basic requirements for the College of Arts and Sciences as well as specific requirements of the department. An academic adviser and the department coordinator will work with every student to ensure that these requirements are met. English majors earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. The following people can be contacted directly for more information about the department and the program: Barbara McGovern, English Department Coordinator; Susan Delagrange, Writing Program Administrator; Lyndsey Anderson , Academic Advisor.
