The Writing Center at The Ohio State University at Mansfield offers any member of the university community free help with writing at any stage of the writing process. Undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff are welcome to collaborate with a Writing Center Consultant, one-on-one, regarding any piece of writing from research papers to lab reports, from dissertations to resumes, from proposals to application materials, from PowerPoint presentations to the latest digital multimedia productions.

Writing Center Consultants are successful undergraduate writers who are trained writing tutors and active members of an academic community of writing instructors.

Writing Center Consultants work with writers from every discipline at all stages of the writing process including: planning, researching, organizing, revising and editing papers; overcoming writers block; preparing oral presentations; and developing critical thinking skills.

The Writing Center mission is to provide client centered services that benefit new writers as well as professional writers.
